What to Expect

  • Facilitating weekly team huddles and conducting regular one‑on‑one meetings with team members.

  • Delivering ongoing performance feedback and creating development plans when necessary.
  • Completing monthly audits by reviewing and monitoring claims files and offering constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Supporting staff development by assisting with hiring decisions, conducting performance evaluations, identifying training opportunities, and keeping employees informed of policy and procedural changes.
  • Initiating interviews for unit vacancies and making recommendations for new hires.

  • Strong technical expertise in Ontario Auto/Bodily Injury and General Liability claims, with national technical handling experience considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on team culture.
  • Experience with performance management processes.
  • The ability to maintain a national perspective and support a geographically dispersed team.
  • A university degree, a relevant two‑year college diploma (Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration), or a CIP designation.
