What will you be doing!
- Serving as the primary point of contact for DevonWay/Ideagen (ImpAct) users by troubleshooting system issues, explaining system capabilities, and identifying solutions to meet business needs.
- Developing and maintaining training materials on Issues Management processes and the DevonWay/Ideagen platform for Performance Assurance staff and employees across CNL.
- Delivering engaging training sessions in classroom, virtual, and one-on-one settings to build user knowledge and capability.
- Leading and supporting root cause analysis and apparent cause investigations, including communicating findings and presenting results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Implementing and enhancing the Issues Management Program to meet regulatory requirements while supporting consistent application across CNL sites.
- Advising business lines and management on Issues Management program implementation, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Implementing and refining SMARTER corrective actions, processes, and procedures to improve organizational performance and learning.
- Collaborating with the Manager, Issues Management to develop, improve, and adapt processes and procedures in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
Supporting departmental goals and performance measures by establishing mechanisms to monitor, track, and report on progress. - Ensuring the quality, reliability, integrity, and traceability of DevonWay/Ideagen data, reports, and related information.
- Analyzing trends and performance data to identify potential weaknesses, emerging risks, and opportunities for corrective action before issues escalate.
- Deploying innovative tools and automated solutions to improve Issues Management monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.
- Collecting, organizing, monitoring, and distributing Issues Management information to support effective communication and program execution.
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to strengthen, administer, and continuously improve Issues Management programs and practices.
- Monitoring and measuring qualitative and quantitative performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of Issues Management processes.
- Leading or supporting software upgrades, change management activities, testing, and software quality assurance initiatives.
- Managing the DevonWay application suite, including user support, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, system updates, reporting, and ongoing enhancements.
- Developing business cases, gathering requirements, and recommending technology solutions that improve efficiency and program effectiveness.
- Implementing Issues Management program requirements while promoting compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant qualifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work in assessments, causal analysis, and corrective action management.
- Proven expertise with the DevonWay ImpAct system, including user support, troubleshooting, and addressing customer requirements.
- Demonstrated success in conducting assessments, investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Development of training course materials and instructional content.
- Delivery of training programs in classroom, virtual, and one-on-one settings.
- Leading and facilitating causal analyses and corrective action reviews.
- Supporting issues management programs, including investigations, resolution activities, effectiveness reviews, and corrective action planning.
- Facilitating management reviews, corrective action review boards, and screening meetings.
- Developing reports and optimizing software tools that support issue management processes.
- Maintaining, upgrading, and maximizing the effectiveness of associated software applications and reporting tools.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong commitment to internal and external customer support, service, and success.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with DevonWay/Ideagen applications and the ability to identify effective solutions to customer needs.
- Ability to translate procedures, processes, and requirements into effective training materials.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues.
- Ability to deliver effective training in classroom, virtual, and individual learning environments.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while providing informed recommendations to management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and influence management teams across multiple organizations.
- Ability to drive cultural change and promote SMARTER (Specific, Measurable, Accountable, Reasonable, Timely, Effective, and Reviewed) corrective actions, issue resolution, investigations, effectiveness reviews, continuous learning, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to optimize the use of resources and tools.
Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and effectiveness during conflict or challenging situations. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing data using DevonWay/Ideagen, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
- Comprehensive knowledge of issues management programs, including investigations, corrective action planning, effectiveness evaluations, management review processes, and performance reporting.
- Knowledge of corrective action review boards, dedicated screening meetings, and governance processes that support effective issue resolution.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:
Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
