The Opportunity
The Payroll Analyst is a key member of the Total Rewards team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services that support employees across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, this role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, data integrity, and a seamless employee experience. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, leveraging the Dayforce Payroll platform and integrated systems to manage payroll processes while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
What to Expect
Importing and validating payroll data from Oracle Cloud HCM, benefit providers, and pension/RRSP vendors into Dayforce
Maintaining and verifying employee data in Dayforce, including hires, terminations, status changes and leaves of absence
Preparing and issuing Records of Employment (ROE's)
Auditing and reconciling bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance
Executing payroll processing in Dayforce, including calculations, validation, and pay cycle completion
Performing monthly payroll holding account reconciliations and preparing related journal entries
Preparing and submitting periodic remittances for payroll taxes
Responding to payroll related inquiries from employees, former employees and external agencies such as the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenue Quebec and Service Canada

What You Bring
2-3 years of payroll experience
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation (or in progress), or equivalent education/experience
Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels of management
Inquisitive mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with Dayforce and Oracle Cloud HCM considered an asset
Salary Range: $51,300 - $94,400
