The Opportunity

Within our Human Resources team, the HR Advisor – Medical Absence serves as the first point of contact for managing medical absence cases. This role plays a key part in shaping the employee experience by applying established policies and processes while delivering thoughtful, consistent, and people‑centred support.
Your Impact
Support the day‑to‑day management of medical absence cases (short‑ and long‑term disability, medical leaves, accommodations) in alignment with established policies and procedures.
Guide employees throughout their medical absence journey by clearly explaining steps, timelines, and required documentation.
Coordinate with payroll, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and continuity of case management.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR data within systems and tools.
Identify situations requiring escalation and refer complex cases to appropriate HR partners.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and documentation related to medical absence management.
The Skills That Set You Apart
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in HR operations, benefits administration, or absence management.
Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) to effectively collaborate with employees and stakeholders across Canada.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Compensation
Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
