Hostelling International is looking to fill the position of Relief Wilderness Relief Manager for the Summer season. This person will work at Wilderness hostels of the Banff National Park, Jasper National Parks, Kananaskis or Nordegg. These small 20-38 bed hostels located off the beaten path, covering the days off of the regular managers at each facility.

Some of these hostels are what we call “rustic”. They have no electricity or running water, but do have telephone or internet. Other hostels are fully on the grid. They all have the excellent benefit of waking up to the peaceful quiet of the Wilderness. You will be able to count the millions of stars so far away from the city, or simply being surrounded by the vastness and indescribable beauty of rugged mountains, hanging glaciers and 400-metre tall waterfalls.

This is a salaried position based on a wage of $18.20 per hour and will start at the beginning of May. It includes a 6% vacation entitlement and on site staff accommodation is provided at no cost at each hostel.
