The Opportunity

Step into a role where your work helps protect and restore the environment while supporting communities across Ontario. As an Environmental Field Technician within our Remediation Program Management team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in environmental monitoring, site investigations, and contractor oversight.This role offers the opportunity to travel to diverse sites across Ontario, develop your technical and safety expertise, and build a strong foundation for a career in environmental consulting.

Your Impact

  • Support environmental field programs by conducting soil, groundwater, and site monitoring activities across Ontario
  • Prepare and follow site-specific health and safety plans to protect people, communities, and the environment
  • Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents to promote a culture of safety
  • Collect, document, and manage environmental samples and field data with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with groundwater monitoring, K-test data collection, and soil sampling through drilling and excavation activities
  • Maintain organized field notes and contribute to data entry and technical report preparation
  • Collaborate with senior scientists and technical staff to deliver high-quality project outcomes
  • Travel to sites, including remote locations, to support multi-day field assignments

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma in environmental sciences or a related field
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices and a commitment to safe work environments
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in field documentation and data collection
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays across Ontario
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Eligibility for professional certification is considered an asset

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $48,700 - $65,500
MB & ON: $44,500 - $62,100
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $44,000 - $59,300Disclosure:
