What you’ll be doing
- Provide administrative and operational support throughout the underwriting process, including data entry, report ordering, and maintaining policy information within internal systems
- Partner with colleagues across the Commercial Underwriting team to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
- Support service level commitments by consistently meeting quality, accuracy, and productivity expectations
- Develop a strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, workflows, and internal processes to complete work with confidence and precision
- Assist with general administrative duties and contribute to ad hoc projects and team initiatives as required
What you bring
- Strong computer skills, including typing proficiency and comfort navigating multiple systems
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach
- Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education is considered an asset
- Progress toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is an asset
