What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Strategy and receiving day to day coaching and guidance from senior leadership, you'll work collaboratively with functional teams to support cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., developing integration strategy, capability gap assessment, technology trends assessment)

  • Act as an “in-house strategy consultant” – apply strategic thinking to solve complex strategy problems
  • Be constantly challenged by strategic requests from different businesses and functions
  • Support deliverables that will shape decision-making by the technology strategy team
  • Support strategic analysis to arrive at options and recommendations using a hypothesis and data driven approach
  • Support the research & development of POV including market trends, competitive landscapes, etc. on emerging & new technology ideas (e.g., AI, Cloud computing, Quantum computing, Agile)
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of technology strategies and roadmaps
  • Support the technology strategy team with the development of high-quality deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint decks, Excel, etc.) that communicate information and ideas effectively and support in decision-making
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while working closely with experienced professionals and industry leaders
  • Do all this in a fun and supportive team led by leaders who encourage pursuit of your passions and ambitions

What you bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in full-time MBA or IT related master’s programs with previous strategy or consulting experience gained at a top-tier management/technology consulting firm, internal corporate strategy role, or equivalent
  • Strategy development experience across a variety of strategic problems such as adopting new technology, improving operations & processes, competitive assessments, etc.
  • Strong interest in the technology industry and a passion for learning about new technologies
  • Experience in evaluating new technology opportunities, developing implementation strategies, and operating model assessments
  • Experience building business cases to support strategy execution
  • Strong business & technology acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical, and critical thinking
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, independently tackle complex problems with limited information, and deliver strategic insights through strong analytical thinking
  • Exceptional storytelling and written presentation skills, with the ability to prepare informative and impactful presentation decks to express complex ideas graphically
  • Must be a team player with the ability to demonstrate collaboration with others to achieve desired results
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • P&C insurance industry experience is an asset but not necessary
