Join WSP’s Transaction & Investment Advisory team and play a key role in supporting strategic transactions that shape infrastructure, energy, and community development projects across Canada. In this role, you will contribute to high‑impact investment decisions by providing financial, commercial, and strategic analysis that informs our clients and internal stakeholders.
Your Impact
Lead transaction and investment activities across the full deal lifecycle, from early screening to execution and post‑transaction analysis
Drive financial models, investment cases, and valuation scenarios to support sound, data-driven decision‑making
Lead and coordinate due diligence processes, including financial, commercial, technical, operational, environmental, ESG, and risk assessments
Prepare and present clear, executive-level investment memos, recommendations, and insights to senior stakeholders
Monitor market trends, comparable transactions, and sector benchmarks to inform strategy
Support business development by contributing to proposals, client engagement strategies, and the positioning of transaction advisory services
Support continuous improvement of tools, models, and processes used in transaction analysis to improve delivery and consistency
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, advisory, and finance to align technical and financial insights across key services areas including:
Commercial & Market Advisory: market assessments, benchmarking, demand and revenue analysis, business model and contract reviews
Technical & Operational Review: asset condition assessments, operational performance analysis, optimization strategies, and Opex evaluations
Asset Investment Assurance: lifecycle planning, capacity assessments, Capex forecasting, and future-proofing strategies (including digital and low-carbon transitions)
ESG & Sustainability: environmental, social, and governance due diligence, including climate risk and health & safety considerations
The Skills That Set You Apart
University degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or a related field
10+ years of relevant experience in transactions, corporate finance, investment analysis, or consulting/advisory
Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis
Proven experience in M&A, public‑private partnerships (P3), infrastructure investment, or large capital projects
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior audiences
A collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to lead in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environments

Compensation
Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 – $234,400
MB & ON: $161,500 – $222,300
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $159,900 – $212,300
