As our workload continues to grow, we are looking for skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. If you are a professional operator who takes pride in your work, values safety, and enjoys working alongside experienced crews on meaningful projects, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in a civil construction environment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre-trip and post-trip documentation.
- Conduct routine maintenance and identify mechanical concerns.
- Read grades, stakes, plans, and site instructions.
- Work closely with Foremen, Gradepersons, Labourers, and Project Teams.
- Maintain production while ensuring quality workmanship.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Contribute to a positive, professional team environment.
- 3+ years experience operating excavators and/or skid steers in civil construction.
- Strong understanding of grading, earthworks, and site development activities.
- Ability to work safely around crews, utilities, and underground infrastructure.
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically perform duties related to the position.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License & reliable vehicle required.
- Experience with GPS machine control systems is considered an asset.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment.
