What You'll Do

Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in a civil construction environment.
Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre-trip and post-trip documentation.
Conduct routine maintenance and identify mechanical concerns.
Read grades, stakes, plans, and site instructions.
Work closely with Foremen, Gradepersons, Labourers, and Project Teams.
Maintain production while ensuring quality workmanship.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Contribute to a positive, professional team environment.

3+ years experience operating excavators and/or skid steers in civil construction.
Strong understanding of grading, earthworks, and site development activities.
Ability to work safely around crews, utilities, and underground infrastructure.
Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically perform duties related to the position.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License & reliable vehicle required.
Experience with GPS machine control systems is considered an asset.
