At TC Energy, we are proud to connect the world to the energy it needs. Guided by our values of safety in every step, personal accountability, one team and active learning, we deliver the critical energy that North America and the world rely on while balancing reliability, affordability and sustainability.

The Opportunity

Commercial Operations is seeking an Operations Communications Analyst to join the Systems Operations Communications team.

Reporting to the Manager, Systems Operations Communications, you will contribute to the safe, reliable, and customer-focused operation of the system by transforming complex operational information into clear, actionable business communications and insights.

In this role, you will act as a key connector between technical operations and commercial stakeholders, ensuring operational impacts are communicated accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner. You will work collaboratively with Operations Planning, Gas Control, Commercial Marketing, Integrity, Regulatory, and other internal partners to support informed decision-making, effective customer communications, and continuous improvement.

This position is well suited for an individual with strong business judgment, sound organizational skills, and a proactive mindset. You are naturally curious, take the initiative to understand how the business operates, and can effectively manage multiple priorities without compromising quality. You bring a high level of accountability and take ownership of your work, delivering results from concept through to completion.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and distribution of customer-facing operational communications, including service availability bulletins, outage notifications, and operational updates

  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise communications tailored to business audiences

  • Support communication planning for both planned and unplanned operational events

  • Develop communication materials such as presentations, briefing notes, talking points, and customer-facing content

  • Analyze operational information to assess customer impacts and determine communication requirements

  • Evaluate competing priorities and recommend communication approaches based on business risk and operational significance

  • Support the development of operational reporting, performance metrics, and executive-level reporting

  • Participate in post-event reviews and identify opportunities to enhance communication effectiveness

  • Act as a liaison between Systems Operations, Commercial Marketing, and other internal stakeholders

  • Build strong working relationships across technical and commercial teams to ensure alignment on operational messaging

  • Support customer meetings and internal operational forums, as required

  • Coordinate with Regulatory, Legal, External Communications, and other corporate partners to ensure alignment during operational events with broader organizational impact

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve communication processes, templates, and tools

  • Support the development and maintenance of communication protocols, standards, and procedures

  • Contribute to educational materials that enhance internal and external understanding of pipeline operations

  • Participate in initiatives that improve customer experience and operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education, preferably a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, Communications, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in business analysis, operations, communications, project coordination, or a similar field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the natural gas, pipeline, energy, or utility industry

  • Experience supporting operational or commercial business teams

  • Familiarity with operational reporting and performance metrics

  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools

  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles and practices

  • Experience facilitating meetings or coordinating cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate complex technical information for business audiences

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
