This position is for our Vulcan Home, located in Vulcan, Alberta.

What you’ll be doing

Provides counseling for residents and families.
Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, etc. for both residents and department in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Participate in committees related to resident care and operation of the Home as required.
Establishes and maintains communications with other disciplines, residents, and families, to ensure resident needs are met.
Liaises with government officials, Extendicare consultants, and other professionals in relation to resident care needs and department activities.

What you bring

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited University.
Current registration with Alberta College of Social workers (including Professional liability insurance)
Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
Competency in conducting individual counseling and group sessions.
