Job Description
We are looking for an HR Systems and Reporting Data Analyst to join our small, high-impact HR Systems and Reporting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Reporting and Analytics, you will play a key role in advancing our data and reporting capabilities — turning complex HR data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization.
You are analytically minded, a self-starter, and thrive in an environment where precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement matter.
This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with developers, functional leads, and stakeholders to design data schemas, define data feed requirements, and contribute to enterprise data architecture
Build and maintain dynamic Workday reports to support Operations and HR teams
Support HR initiatives through financial modelling, KPI development, and performance tracking
Assist the Payroll team with Federal and Provincial reporting programs for health care workers
Act as a liaison between HR functional user groups and technical teams — gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into effective solutions
Leverage AI tools to automate reporting workflows, accelerate data analysis, and surface insights at scale
Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, communicated, and validated across all assigned projects
Complete other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in data analysis or reporting, preferably in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment
Proficiency in SQL Server (complex query writing) and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, generative AI for data analysis, prompt-based reporting)
Experience with Workday and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a strong asset
