About this opportunity:

As the Senior Manager, HR Operations, you will lead the strategy, integration, and delivery of HR operations across Canada. You will be accountable for building a seamless, high-performing service model that brings together HR Support Services, HR Services, HR Advisory, and Payroll to deliver exceptional employee experience. Reporting to the Director, HR Partnerships & Operations, you will act as both a strategic advisor and operational leader, ensuring HR services are scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise priorities. You will lead a team of managers across HR Services, HR Advisory, Payroll, and HR Technology, driving cross-functional collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

This position is located in Calgary, AB.

What you’ll do:

  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning across HR Operations.

  • Align HR operations with enterprise priorities, workforce needs, and employee experience strategy to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.

  • Anticipate business and workforce changes, evolving HR operations to support growth, transformation, and organizational demands.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on service delivery strategy, operational readiness, and compliance.

  • Partner with HR COEs, HRBPs, IT, and business leaders to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide HR solutions.

  • Lead the implementation and governance of the HR operating model with HR Operations

  • Drive end-to-end process excellence and continuous improvement through automation, digital transformation, and optimized service delivery.

  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of employee lifecycle transactions, payroll, and HR case management.

  • Champion HR technology and transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, self-service optimization, and the use of data and insights to improve service outcomes and employee experience

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CPHR or equivalent designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 16+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in HR operations

  • Proven track record leading large-scale HR operations or shared services functions

  • Deep expertise in HR service delivery models, payroll, HRIS, and process optimization

  • Demonstrated success driving transformation, digital initiatives, and system implementations

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
