We’re looking for a Compliance Senior Specialist (AML Systems) to join our Financial Crimes Compliance Operations team at MBPS. In this role, you will provide expertise and consultation to clients (internal and external) on many aspects of Compliance. They can include one or several of the following: Anti-Money Laundering, Privacy, Monitoring and Testing, Complaints, Compliance Management Program, Business Unit Records Management, Abandoned Property, social media, Broker Dealer responsibilities, Market Conduct, Derivatives Compliance, or ERISA. This role assists in implementing policies and procedures for either the Business Unit or the Division. This position manages complex compliance issues related to the above topics.
Position Responsibilities:
Delivery of successful initiatives in a timely manner based on project objectives and success criteria
Promote and enable a high degree of collaboration among Business SMEs and decision makers, the Business Transformation Office, the Project Management Office, and Information Services partners to ensure successful and timely delivery
Production of high-quality business requirements; including the collection, analysis, validation and documentation of business users’ or stakeholder’s business needs
Identification, validation and escalation of key risks, issues, and dependencies, as well as cost benefit tradeoffs among a variety of options to align with overall project and program objective
Process modeling and analysis skills including but not limited to process improvements, gap analysis between current and future state along with root cause analysis
Accountable for effective change management within projects, in terms of ensuring that change to business requirements are effectively managed to reduce impact to projects
Assist business leads in defining short and long term needs to determine business priorities and advise on options
Required Qualifications:
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in business analysis or consulting, preferably in Financial Services, with a background in Life Insurance operations and integrated solutions.
Proficient in MS Excel functions and formulas, MS Office applications, and process mapping using BPMN 2.0.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance/Investments, Legal Management, or other relevant fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of insurance operations, processes, and basic compliance concepts, especially AML/ATF.
Ability to document and analyze data flows, identify dependencies and connectivity, and question inputs and outputs effectively.
Skilled in end-to-end project management, with the ability to drive and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving, root cause identification, and contingency planning skills.
Ability to aggregate and present findings using visual diagrams to facilitate decision-making for various audiences.
Detail-oriented, hands-on, and adaptable, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of leading meetings, presenting effectively, and explaining complex concepts simply.
Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, setting priorities, and delivering business value.
Ability to assess situations based on data and analytical reasoning.
